About Dan Dial
Inventor | Engineer | Researcher of Energy & Matter
Dan Dial’s life work is driven by a singular passion: to understand the behavior of energy and matter — and to build machines that amplify their interaction to support life.
Early Curiosity & Foundations
Dan’s fascination with electronics began in 1963, at just five years old, when he started reading Popular Electronics and performing the magazine’s experiments. By age 10, he was repairing radios and televisions. By 11, he had already studied Nikola Tesla’s patent filings and built his first Tesla coil, launching a lifelong interest in high-energy experiments.
Hands-On Innovation
In 1977, following the death of his father, Dan postponed college to care for his mother and grandmother. That same year, he founded Mill Creek Enterprises (now DCD Enterprises Inc.) — a custom fabrication and machine shop that doubled as his personal research lab.
One of Dan’s early engineering projects was overseeing the construction of three 42' x 15' aluminum crabbing vessels, which he fully wired and plumbed. Insights from this project later influenced his patented pump and turbine designs.
Patents & Technical Mastery
First U.S. patent granted in 1997
Now holds 11 patents, including three based on Tesla's technologies
Skilled in machining, welding, electronics, and high-voltage systems
The Art-Science Connection
During the 1980s, Dan studied glass fusing and neon bending at the Pilchuk Glass School in Washington. He went on to open a neon art studio in 1986, which remains active today. This skill proved essential for building custom glass components for his high-energy devices.
The Molecular Enhancer
In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Dan developed the Molecular Enhancer, a multiple-wave oscillator designed to energize the body’s cells through electromagnetic waveforms. The device resonated with biological structures and appeared to support healing and recovery by “powering up” cellular processes.
From Enhancer to Coil: The Birth of the TDC
Building on the success of the Enhancer, Dan began reimagining the Tesla coil. His goal: to create a coil safe for human and animal use, generating similar waveforms to the Enhancer — but at a higher octave.
After seven design iterations, the Tesla-Dial Coil (TDC) was born. Unlike traditional Tesla coils, the TDC can run for extended periods with minimal heat and maintenance. One of the original TDCs still operates in Dan’s shop, where animals instinctively position themselves in front of it for relief.
TODAY
Dan continues to live and work in Washington State, where he remains deeply engaged in the study of energy, frequency, and life systems. As a self-taught engineer, quantum physicist, neon artist, gardener, and inventor, he regularly consults on high-energy devices and is sought after for solving design challenges in this unique space.
