Dan Dial’s Patents

Exploring Four Decades of Innovation in Energy and Matter

When we launched Dan Dial Tech, we knew we wanted to highlight the breadth of Dan’s work — and the 11 patents he’s received over the years tell that story well.

Dan’s lifelong research into the interaction between energy and matter has led to groundbreaking devices across disciplines: from neon light therapy to advanced electric motors, piezoelectric systems, hydrogen reformers, and fluid dynamics.

A Legacy of Innovation

  • Patent #5,824,024
Dan’s first patent applied neon light technology to reduce the effects of Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D.).

His key discovery: it’s not the intensity of the light, but the angle of incidence that mimics reflected natural light and impacts mood.

  • Patent #6,375,412 B1
An improved Tesla-inspired pump and turbine design that uses Van der Waals forces - the attractive forces that bind matter for more efficient flow.

  • Patent #6,779,964 B2
Further developing fluid dynamics systems, this turbine design builds on the previous pump patent to enhance performance and power generation.

Electric Motor Systems (2011–2013)

In 2008, Dan began consulting for an investor in Dallas, Texas, which led to several patented electric motor systems. These designs are based on Dan’s core theory that timing the magnetic flux is critical for motor efficiency.

SRM Electric Motor
Patent #8,006,789 B2 (2011)

EV Motor Improvements
Patent #8,220,575 B2 (2013)

Advanced SRM Design
Patent #8,436,572 B2 (2013)

 Cutting-Edge Energy Research

  • Patent #9,245,704
    Patent #8,860,284
Designed to channel piezoelectric energy for improved signal and energy processing.

  • Patent #9,093,682
A device that refines hydrogen gas production, improving clean energy potential.

  • Patent #7,341,424
A fluid dynamics system to increase energy output through optimized turbine designs.

40+ Years of Applied Science

Dan Dial’s work is a powerful blend of hands-on engineering, deep curiosity, and creative thinking. His patents span disciplines — but they all center around the same goal: making energy work better for life.
